About CIC Meetings

Contact us via calvertinterfaith@gmail.com for information about the Calvert Interfaith Council meetings which are on Zoom at this time. When not meeting on Zoom, the location of the meetings rotates throughout the various faith communities in Calvert County.  Clergy and/or representatives from various congregations volunteer to host the meetings at their places of worship.

Each meeting begins with the clergy or representative of the host (place of worship) sharing a brief presentation on their faith tradition and their particular congregation/ministry. This is followed by a business meeting to discuss and share information on relevant issues in our county. Refreshments are provided by the host place of worship.  If you would be interested in hosting a CIC meeting to get an up-close look at what we’re all about, please email calvertinterfaith@gmail.com.

Who Can Join the CIC?

Membership in CIC is open to representatives of any eligible faith community.  Eligible faith communities include any and all congregations of the Jewish, Christian, or Islamic faith traditions, as well as the Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, Quaker, Unitarian and Baha’i faith traditions, which meet regularly for worship in Calvert County, Maryland.  Congregations need not have their own church or building to participate in the Council.
